When The Sopranos was looking the perfect person to play Tony Soprano, there were plenty of actors lining up to try out. Ray Liotta was one of the actors the show had in mind, but Ray had other ideas.
The actor didn’t want to appear on television when the show was airing so declined the role. However, he is now playing Lt. Matt Wozniak on Shades of Blue. James Gandolfini took up the part of Tony Soprano for the decade-long run of the show.
