When Tina Fey was looking for actors for her first project after SNL, she instantly turned to one of her best friends, Rachel Dratch, to star as Jenna Maroney on 30 Rock. However, the pilot totally changed director, and the part was recast, going to Jane Krakowski instead.
Rachel Dratch was totally cool with the situation, saying pilots are recast all the time. She has since starred in Just Go With It, Click, and Sisters, in addition to appearing on 30 Rock as a guest star.
