Breaking Bad saw many big-name Hollywood actors line up for their chance to appear in the show. When it came down to it, the producers were torn between Matthew Broderick and Bryan Cranston.
Matthew had made a name for himself in the 1980s for his film and TV roles, while Bryan was recognized as Hal from Malcolm in the Middle. The creator eventually decided to offer the part to Bryan who has recently been nominated for an Academy Award for his role in Trumbo.
