As the brains and the name behind Seinfeld, Jerry Seinfeld had the difficult job of casting the strong and independent Elaine Benes. He has since reported that Megan Mullally auditioned for the role before Julia Louis-Dreyfus.
Although her audition was hugely funny and he could tell that Megan was talented, Julia’s audition bowled him over. However, it’s not been all doom and gloom for Megan since, as she later landed herself a huge role within the popular sitcom, Will & Grace.
